When the Bends came out my friends hot older sister played Street Spirit for us and I wanted to impress her so I bought the album then I was like oh wow screw her I love this more.  Then my Radiohead obsession started and as soon as followmearound was started I was a member, went to green plastic and atease.  Ash was there too.  Where is Ash?  Pokes at Ash where is my monkey?  We have been internet friends for over 21 years.

When I was in high school I worked at a record shop.  It was in a high end mall.  Every year it would be closed to contributors around Christmas who helped fund the mall. This older guy who obviously didn’t know anything about his son asked me what cds he should buy for him.  I said the Bends, OK Computer and Bjork Post.  He said okay and he bought them. I hope I opened that kids musical mind up even if he was probably a trust fund kid.  Or I might have freaked him out, the dad didn’t tell me how old he was.

Donwood's "Swifts Hollow" at slowly downward.

and "Watching" at the lost domain

"This print is called 'WATCHING', and is the fifth print to be released through The Lost Domain. There is an intention here to emphasise the fact that we need to take care of our environment, to look after the world that we live in and not blunder around destroying it for the sake of shiny gadgetry, illusory financial incentives, high-octane status symbols and other fripperies of our culture. Some may disagree with me; and yes, what do I know? I admit I am merely a 53 year old human who likes trees and has read a number of books."

Not much more on the Christies auction

https://www.nme.com/news/music/radioheads-thom-yorke-is-co-curating-a-kid-a-artwork-exhibition-3051877

In a statement ahead of the the upcoming show, Donwood said: “Very late one night Thom and I were alone in the vast wastes of Oxfordshire, surrounded by darkness and trying to finish the artwork. It was impossible – we had made too much, too many pictures, and it was like being in a storm of ideas and drawings, paintings, and texts.

“We were exhausted and could no longer think clearly. We had lots of versions of the front cover, all with different pictures and different titles in different typefaces. We couldn’t work out which was the right one so we took them all downstairs and used tape to stick them to the cupboards and the fridge in the kitchen, hoping that in the morning the right cover and the right title would be obvious. And it was called Kid A.”
