lmfao remember when ppl on reddit didnt wanna listen to minidisc leaks

my favorite was someone who said they were instead going to sit down and listen to the album versions of the songs while reading descriptions of the minidisc versions and try to imagine what it sounds like.

Imagine being a young fan on reddit and having not seen the band live, and your first live experience is... going to an Ed solo show! 😄

It reminds me of when I was a huge Pink Floyd fan in college and I tried to satiate my desire to see them live by excitedly going to a Roger Waters show, and quickly realizing during the show after seeing the left-handed upside-down guitar playing David Gilmour wannabe Roger had in his band, that I had made a critical error.

There was another song, I can't remember which one it was... but there was a part where like the backup singers were like "ahhhhhhhhhh" you know, and all the lights in the arena came on, like bright ass white! And roger was standing there with his hands up in the air with a bright ass spotlight on him. I felt like I was on one of those TV evangelical megachurch things it was the weirdest shit.

I'm the same age as Booger Bear, but I didn't see them until 08 in Indy..It was hot and I remember being mesmerized by those In Rainbows tour light poles as they were methodically bringing them out one at a time playing whatever pre-show music it was...

And we got some Bangers and Mash..and Just..and most of In Rainbows obviously..

I recall before There There Thom saying "If you're looking for Kid Rock you're in the wrong place".

Fun fact: about my username; my mom called me her Booger Bear.  I have four daughters and have nicknames for them all.  I call my youngest Clara Booger Bear too.  I also have a pug named Bowie hence my avatar.  Next pug we get will be named Polly after PJ Harvey.

my first gig was actually Radiohead in 2000 in Warrington , day after Kid A came out. Went with my dad, still remember bits and bobs to this day like the huge tent they were in and Thom playing motion picture soundtrack by himself with lasers behind him.
