I wonder what he meant by "being careful" in regards to Kid A/Amnesiac?

I don't doubt that about The Bends, but I ESPECIALLY don't doubt that about In Rainbows, considering the notoriety of those sessions (Spike Stent failed attempts, etc.)

I want to hear all five versions of House of Cards!

I'd honestly be into a version of The Bends that was the best or most interesting alternate versions of every songs, as opposed to the standard tracklist being remastered and some demos on a flipside.

Honestly we all have access to the original record, especially since these things are available on spotify et al and it's only big fans who generally buy the redux editions. We don't need the album again. I won't even go into how dumb it is 'remastering' a 25 year old album... always rubs me the wrong way too: keep the songs as they were and always are. That's how they put out and how they should stay out.

The best alternative version of The Bends is OK Computer.

If I had to guess, "be careful" means they don't want to release versions /songs / partial recordings that they view as terrible.  They did lots of experimenting back then as we know, and I'm sure that resulted in lots of odd bits that they wouldn't want released -- lest someone think it was ever seriously considered or even liked at the time.
