Oh sweet! Thanks for the links. That Lord Azure fella captured some quality video. Audio is a tad boomy but w/e. Totally worth checking out his channel.

A suitably snug bra is recommended in these situations. Uber super crazy cool lol!

That's a truly wonderful and realistic view. I discovered Radiohead last year and it is thanks to a fellow atease member. I've been listening to Atoms for Peace more recently and really wish they would tour too. I've learned a lot in a small time. This is atease and I think I know what that means, but I am finding it difficult not to be shocked by the incessant attitude taken by the very community members who are able provide these tapes. Okay I get that this was a special case between 1 or 2 people and not everyone is the same. Firstly I'm not a taper and have never taped anything, but I do not see the moral high ground taken as a valid excuse for this behavior. This is a bad example maybe, but I've taken photographs of bands and artists before. I'm not a professional and I couldn't give two poops if someone decided to use the Content Awareness tool on Photoshop to give Thom an extra arm and a leg. I know other amateurs who would maybe sigh and shrug it off, but the only people who would get THIS annoyed are the professionals making money from it. In the end there was nothing to gain and it lost purpose. It was almost like witnessing a westboro baptist church exposé, both mildly terrifyingly, hilariously melodramatic and most of what was said seemed unjustifiably blind sighted and vicious. Even more so by the fact that the person didn't know the full story, wasn't personally involved but instead chose to be. People who find the smallest excuse to vent and flame on a forum are either totally apathetic, far too absorbed and used to the anonymity, or they are bored and need to find better ways to spend their time. It displayed a rotten side to the community which was very off putting for me. I'm not really a forum goer I guess...... And I'm a slow typer. For the most part, I'm going to stick to reddit. There's less naivety and this kind of diarrhea never goes on there.

I knew a couple of tapers. And they wouldn't stop harassing, and harassing, and harassing. Congratz! You guys certainly got your kicks.

Why don't you just stop posting? You have literally contributed nothing constructive and ended up destroying this thread with your petulant attitude.

Remasters aren't everybody's cup of tea, that much is obvious, but maybe some of you are forgetting: "Follow Me Around", the fact that it had its very own page on atease back in the day. "Videotape circa 2006", "Present Tense" and the amazing "Big Boots" cover, spawned off several attempts to sync the audio from MPIE. That is over 10 years of dedication to the community, so this isn't some Joe Shmoe. If you want to jump down his throat and give him an internet lobotomy, then whatever floats your boat man, but if you're going to talk about respect.. I've also downloaded his Roskilde Festival remaster which does an incredible job to correct the pitch, timing and issues with the tape. Subjective listening in that case? Less-so because the improvements are very obvious. After reading the message accompanying the Chicago remaster torrent, it's pretty clear that it is an emotional investment. We all get a little emotional sometimes. Nothing is going to "drown in its own shit", unless that is what you want.

Way to put a bleak spin on things...

Double standards. No point in accusing someone of lacking respect, when apparently it's totally okay for you to talk shit about anyone that has a differing opinion. Also, respect is earned too y'know. Not demanded. Mistakes can happen! We're supposed to support each other, not act like a bunch of raiders from Fallout 4.

No, but saying that this conversation would affect the release of tapes, is implying that they are being used as a way to silence someone. Not a very polite or sensible way of dealing with the situation. I would have expected something a little more reasonable like "Yeah, the taper and I came to an agreement that we'll leave the release as-is, but thank you for at least spending time on the remaster. Next time please ask before impulsively uploading something". Keep laughing. Every once in a while I laugh, sometimes I also force myself to smile. It's good for you! Any Doctor will tell you that ?

That's the thing. I can't, which is why this whole experience is totally bizarre. I guess it's just a matter of waiting until all the toys have been thrown out of the pram.

Not trying to get anyone, just pointing out obvious issues with "control". This is the internet lady's and gentlemen.

So when's the marriage date? Unnecessary because it sounded like a really absurd threat. If you're going to contribute to a community, do it, but why hold tapes to ransom for petit reasons?

Yeah, but quite honestly it was a totally unnecessary comment.
