What a time to be alive!

    Dawn Chorus Is . . .

I'm voting for Open The Floodgates even though I'm not sure the likelihood is very high. Of course, you never know how Yorke and co. might rework something to work with their current aesthetic. Odds are of it's not OTF than we'll be hearing an entirely new song. @section 917 I Froze Up and Skirting on The Surface could be well served by a gorgeous Interference-like makeover on Anima. Surely these songs are developed enough to end up somewhere.

    Best Version of Lift

Agreed. I'm thankful for both versions. Depending of my mood my preference switches. Listening to the OKNOTOK version, I'm struck by now naked it seems compared to what we have now; it's not necessarily a bad take, but it feels under-cooked in retrospect.

    Best Version of Lift

I'm still going voting for disc 15. It's everything the Pinkpop '96 version promised. Lift is a song that NEEDS to explode.16.2 is dreamier in a way I find very satisfying at the same time. You could make a convincing case for either 15 or 16.2. I love the 2002 pre-HTTT version, and am fond of the two disc 16 versions, but 15 is the definitive take for me.

Listening to disc 15---LOVING IT. Still picking my jaw off from the floor. Smacks you in the face, doesn't it? This version fucking kills. I'll come back later with thoughts on the two disc 16 versions.

18 hours of Ok Computer stuff leaked?

Starting disc 15. Expect a post where I lose my shit after I hear the version of Lift that's had people excited these past few days. I can't wait to compare the 15 version with the two on disc 16! EDIT: IT'S STARTING AHHHHHH

This is a splendid idea! A lot of these songs would make for a great imaginary '95-'98 Thom solo album!

Oh I was not aware of that, thank you for letting me know!

The Thom solo ditty around the thirty minute mark of MD120 ("You Never Know"?) is a great little jam. The following bit with the little girl reading the lyrics to Climbing Up The Walls is spine-tingling.

IN MD120 THERE IS AN EARLY CUT OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM THAT SOUNDS LIKE WAR-ERA U2 AND IT IS AMAZING OH MY GOD

Which one is Tomorrow Night in Paris? What disc and timecode can I hear it in?

Only five minutes into this treasure trove! What a lovely treat this is so far!

    hello?

Here's what I think: For a few weeks they've each had CDs of unmastered 'rough' mixes like what was leaked with HTTT and after extensive listening they went back to do the FINAL mixes, adding any cool extra bits that were required (e.g. the cutting up of the drums on Myxomatosis). Now it will be ready for mastering, which takes a couple of days or something. I just hope it's mastered well. Some albums are mastered too loudly and they 'clip' (i.e. distort slightly at loud parts)
